The Chinese stamp Michel CN-IM 878, also cataloged as Stamp Number CN-IM 824, Yvert et Tellier CN-IM 648, Stanley Gibbons CN-IM 1052, and China Stamp Society CN-IM 1233, was issued on October 7, 1948, as part of the Gold Yuan Surcharges series. It features themes related to famous people, freedom fighters, physicists, men, politicians, revolutionaries, statesmen, and heads of state. The stamp measures 18 x 22 mm and is printed in blue using typography by Central Trust and Dah Yeh Printing Co., Shanghai (O). It is a commemorative issue with a perforation of 11½ x 12½ and an ungummed surface. The denomination is 2 Chinese cents, with an overprint of c 2 on $.1.50, corresponding to stamp n.YT 375.
