Issued on December 5, 1940, during the German occupation of Luxembourg in World War II, this complete set of ten mint never hinged stamps features overprinted denominations in Reichspfennig on existing Luxembourg definitive issues depicting Grand Duchess Charlotte. The stamps range from 3 to 50 Reichspfennig and are printed in various colors, including red-orange and blackish green. Each stamp measures 23 x 26 mm and is produced using intaglio printing with line perforation 12. Notably, the 4 Rpf stamp (Michel DE-LU 18II) has a distance of 10 mm between the two rosettes, while the 50 Rpf stamp (Michel DE-LU 29) features a spacing of 9.25–9.75 mm. These stamps were part of a short-lived issue, valid until March 31, 1941, reflecting the political changes during the occupation. They are cataloged as Michel DE-LU 18II–29, Scott LU N18–N29, Yvert et Tellier LU-OA 18–29, and Stanley Gibbons LU 414–425.
