This is the complete set of the "Martyrs of the Revolution" definitive issue from the Republic of China, released between 1932 and 1934. These engraved stamps were printed by the Chinese Bureau of Engraving and Printing (PBMF) and measure 22 x 24 mm each. The set honors various revolutionary figures of the Xinhai Revolution and early Republican period, including generals, politicians, and national heroes, many portrayed in military or formal attire. The stamps are engraved in a variety of vivid colors, with denominations ranging from ½ Chinese cent to 50 cents. Each stamp bears the national emblem of the Kuomintang (KMT) in the upper frame and features precise typographic inscriptions with traditional Chinese characters. The design work is attributed to Bohumil Heinz, and the stamps were issued without watermarks, using line perforation 14. The present set is in mint never hinged (MNH) condition with original gum, clean margins, and vibrant color, making it highly desirable among collectors of pre-war Chinese philately. Estimate "$220 – 300".
