This beautifully preserved mint never hinged (MNH) set from French India features the iconic "Brahma and Kali Temple" design, issued in 1914 and used through the early 1920s. The stamps, designed by E. Froment and printed typographically by the Imperial Printing Office in Paris, depict the Hindu god Brahma seated in front of temple columns with symbolic items and a swan by his side. The design combines religious iconography and colonial framing in a striking vertical layout (24.5 x 40.5 mm), exemplifying the French colonial aesthetic. The four denominations in the set are: 1 centime (grey), 2 centimes (green and violet), 3 centimes (brown and black, marked "3 CA"), and 4 centimes (orange and grey). Each stamp is perforated 13½ x 12 and lacks watermark. These stamps are catalogued as Michel FR-IN 25–28, Scott FR-IN 25–29, Yvert FR-IN 25–28, and Stanley Gibbons FR-IN 26–29. A rare and complete low-value quartet from the early definitive period of French India.
