This 10-cent stamp from the London Print Coiling Dragon series was issued in 1909 and used until 1914. Printed in berlin blue, the design presents the imperial dragon in full vigor, grasping the flaming pearl in a fine engraved layout. Measuring 23 x 26 mm, this stamp was printed by Waterlow & Sons Ltd and lacks a watermark. It is catalogued as Scott CN IM 31, Michel CN-IM 77b, Gibbons CN-IM 156, and CSS CN-IM 137. The circular black cancel likely originated in Tientsin (Tianjin). The back bears strong hinge markings and previous paper reinforcements, classifying this piece as a minor variant of #437442 and a solid example for the transitional late-Qing era.
