In 1906, a beautifully handwritten postcard was sent from Korea to Japan, franked with a 1½ sen stamp from Japan’s Chrysanthemum definitive series (1899–1907), overprinted with the denomination in late usage and canceled with a clear Japanese postmark. Designed by Tomazo Saito, this stamp was printed by letterpress in dark purple and violet shades and features the Imperial chrysanthemum crest, symbolizing the Emperor’s authority. It was issued with varying perforations and reflects both administrative and postal continuity during Japan's colonial governance in Korea. Catalogued as Michel JP 94, Scott JP 95, Yvert et Tellier JP 112, Stanley Gibbons JP 136, and Sakura JP 105. The postcard remains in excellent condition with full message and legible marking, offering strong cultural and philatelic value. Estimate "$90 – 120"
