Issued in 1903 by the French Post Office in Tchongking, this 15 centimes stamp features the overprint "TCHONG-KING" along with the denomination in Chinese characters. The design by Louis-Eugène Mouchon represents allegorical figures of commerce and mythology, reflecting the stamp’s thematic focus on sales and trade. Printed in purple and red by typography at the Imperial Printing Office in Paris, the stamp measures 20 x 24 mm and is perforated 14 x 13½. It belongs to the daily use issue for foreign post offices in China. Catalogued as Scott TCH 6, Michel FR-IC B22V, Yvert et Tellier FR-TCH 37, and Stanley Gibbons FR-TCH 6.
