Issued in 1901 by the French post office in Hoi Hao, this mint never hinged set of 14 values ranges from 1 centime to 1 franc and features the classic “Navigation and Commerce” design overprinted in red with the post office name "HOI HAO." Designed by Louis-Eugène Mouchon and printed typographically by the Imperial Printing Office in Paris, the stamps measure 20 x 24 mm and are perforated 14 x 13½ on light yellow paper. The series illustrates allegorical themes of trade and prosperity, representing France’s colonial commercial interests in Indochina and treaty ports in China. Catalogued as Scott HH1–14, Michel FR-IC B1II–B15II, Yvert et Tellier FR-HH 1–14, and Stanley Gibbons FR-HH 1–14, this full set is a cornerstone of French Offices in China philately. All stamps are in mint never hinged condition with original gum and fine centering. Estimate "$480 – 580"
